What is a "normal" tumor marker number for testicular cancer? ?

I don't know what a normal number is for the tumor markers, but I wanted to let you know that my husband no longer has his right testicle due to testicular cancer. He found it due to pain he was experiencing, and it spread very fast. I believe the pain was a good indication of it spreading as well and he was considered to be in at least stage 2 if not 3, which isn't good, but his tumor markers were normal. He went through the chemo treatments (BEP) which was very difficult, and although the doctors were suspicious of him fully recovering after just the treatments, he is now 100% free of any cancer. The good news is that your husband may be able to just have the surgery and be done with it, if it hasn't spread beyond the testicle. Even if it has spread though, it is very treatable, and has a very high cure rate. (Atleast 80%...but likely higher) I hope that your husbands case is just a slow growing tumor that can be removed and it hasn't spread much, if at all, especially since he had no other indicators. Good luck with everything, and I hope you get good results!
