I want to learn how to dance, stuff you'd see in a club. Any suggestions?

So I want to learn how to dance, but I have no idea how to do it. I'm incredibly shy and have a complex (I don't like to do things in front of people unless I'm good at it), plus I'm socially inept. So the thought of taking a dancing cl kinda scares me sh*tless. I was just wondering if there were any instructional videos that may be able to help me learn something? Please let me know if there are any or where I could find them. Oh and I'm looking for dancing styles that would typically be found in a club, not so much the waltz or salsa, or any of those traditional styles of dancing. Hopefully someone can help! Thanks.
